Storefront Boutique. Help help with… everything

  • Okay, so I believe that six hours of Google searches, plugin downloads, plugin deletes, theme switching, CSS editing, and going nowhere fast is enough to say I’ve given this an honest effort. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to do anything regarding font sizes, font color, background color, and a couple other things on the middle pane and product screens. Here is a screenshot of what I’m trying to accomplish:

    I can honestly say that looking at the themes code… it might as well be in a Japanese/Latin hybrid language because I don’t know. I can’t find any information, premium themes, or anything that would at least advance me a little.

    Somebody please help before I go out of my mind!

    Just an update… I finally got the gator to disappear. Only took 8 hours -.-

    You seem to have switched to the Wootique theme. I’d recommend persisting with Boutique as it is essentially a new / better version of Wootique which itself is very old.

    A lot of the things you want to change can be done very easily with a little CSS or by simply playing with the settings in the Customizer.

    You can install a plugin to add custom CSS to your site, or use a child theme. This guide will help you figure out how to tweak things with CSS; https://support.woothemes.com/hc/en-us/articles/203105957-Customizing-your-theme-with-Firebug

    Take a look at the Customizer though a lot of the colors etc that you want to change can be done there.

    Yeah, I had to switch back because I was wasting FAR too much time trying to get anything to work. I was using Boutique but the thing just looked so ugly I couldn’t see saving it at all. I’ll work on it a little here and there and see if Firebug does the trick.

    I would strongly recommend sticking with Boutique, it’s your call though.
