• Whenever I try and update to WordPress 4.2, I get the following screen saying:

Your WordPress database is already up-to-date!

I was able to restore a backup from earlier, but as soon as I upgrade I get the same screen again. I have tried:

    1. Disabling all plugins
    2. Disabling the theme
    3. Clearing all the caches
    4. Repairing the database

But none of these helped. So right now I am still running WordPress 4.1.2 because the error occurs as soon as I hit “Update”.

Anyone have an idea of what’s going on?

Edit: I fixed this by FIRST deactivating all my plugins, and THEN installing the update. Don’t know why that worked instead of deactivating the plugins after the update instead.
