Reaching for the stars

I think i’m reaching for the stars here but I wanted to get the opinion of the experts.

Me and a friend want to create a site that is a type of social network similar to myspace but for professional and the industry we are aiming at. Can I with wordpress have a company log on and create a profile with different profile types “tags” and lets say someone gets on my site and wants to search for that particular industry they type in a certain tag/keyword and everyone with that keyword/tag shows up on a list. similar to what you get when you search for a myspace profile. The results show the company logo, name, number, and email address. you click on that name and get a detailed company profile.
