4.2 Install Removed Page Exclude Data

  • I have a large WordPress site with over 1,000 pages. As a result, my site menu is large, so I try to limit its size by excluding 100s of pages. After the upgrade to 4.2, all my exclude page data is missing. I was using Simon Wheatley’s “Exclude Pages from Navigation” plugin to do this. After install I started using the “IM8 Exclude Pages” plugin instead, but this is requiring me to find, edit, and save every page to exclude it again.

    Is there a simpler way?

  • Since this question is in regards to a specific plugin, it might be more prudent to post this question in the respective plugin support forums. It would appear that your issue isn’t necessarily a defect with WordPress core but with the interaction between the plugins and version 4.2.
