Redirect to page not found after 30 second

  • Hi,

    My site recently updated by wordpress force update to 4.2.1 & when i go to admin panel it’s show :

    Database Update Required

    WordPress has been updated! Before we send you on your way, we have to update your database to the newest version.

    The update process may take a little while, so please be patient.

    My database size is 500+ MB

    when i click on update wordpress database button, it’s redirect to page not found after 30 second,

    for big database it’s required to increase php memory limit & php execution time.

    I already set it to 512M & execution time to 180 second.

    I think Hueman theme have 30 second timeout redirect to page not found if it is, I m not able to do the task successfully.

    Any Idea about increase timeout redirect to page not found from 30 second to desire time.

  • Hi bhaskarping. If you do a Google search on “wordpress database update required” you’ll find many threads discussing the same issue. Different users have reported different solutions.

    Thanks for quick reply.

    I already checked various option available on different sites. My conclusion is for large database size it’s required to increase php memory limit & php execution time, which i already set .

    my question is, when i set php execution time to 180 second why my site redirect after 30 second to page not found (404),

    my requirement to stop it to redirect 404 after 30 second or increase it. I believe theme have inbuilt option for redirection which i m not able to found, where?

    What happens if you activate a default WP theme like Twenty Fifteen and then run the database update?
