  • As I wrote in another post, I can confirm that.
The plugin is not working anymore.

I did the “usual” things, cleaning cache, downgrading to 1.4.0 and than again to 1.4.1, no way – not counting ??

    Cheers!

How do you measure the counting actually stopped? I’m seeing counts until yesterday, but I thought that was normal behavior? I would expect seeing counts for today by tomorrow or later today earliest. Have you in fact seen real-time updates of counting before yesterday?

Caspar, believe me and cs12435: It stopped counting. Thats a fact ??

No need to ask 3 questions that do not have nothing to do with the fact that the plugin stopped working ??

@rodgonz WTF? I’m a user myself and I was asking those questions, because I’m interested as well in whether or not the plugin stopped working. Because as I said, I wouldn’t have noticed anything odd until now if wasn’t for this thread.
I also do customer support as my day job, so I’m used to ask question in order to be able to reproduce an issue somebody says they have.
However, this is not customer support here, this is a community forum. If you’re not interested in sharing knowledge, no problem, I’ll find someone else to answer my questions.

Caspar, all these things (your Job and so on) are completely irrelevant in this thread.

This thread was opened from people, reporting issues since last update with that plugin (to the author).

It is not about explaining basic functionality of this plugin.

In my case it seems to count LESS hits:

    April, 26th: 1.713
    April, 27th: 1.436
    April, 28th: 815
    April, 29th: 478

But compared with Google Analytics there weren’t less visitors.

    Thread Starter cs12435

    (@cs12435)

in my case it definitely stopped. there were 74 when I updated, and there is still 74. Usually it ends the day with something close to 1000.
Today there is no new day shown. So there is something not working.

@lespark + @cs12435 +1 for providing helpful context. Can’t confirm any odd numbers from my side yet, but will keep an eye on it and report back.

@sergejmueller Any clues what might be going wrong?

    So the changelog says:

    1.4.1 / 29.04.2015
    Renew the tracking mechanism

At the GitHub repo there’s a wiki entry that shares a broader light on this. It’s curated in German, so let me translate:

What kind of requests will not be counted?

    • feeds
    • trackbacks
    • searches (as in internal WordPress search queries)
    • previews (as in post previews)
    • page views by logged-in users** (seems relevant)
    • error pages

According to Sergej, the plugin author (contacted him via Twitter DM), those exclusions had been in effect before 1.4.1, but did not work very well. Since 1.4.1 they should work excellently, which might explain dropping numbers in Statify, generally as well as compared to GA specifically.

I’ve enabled the option to only show todays referers and until now there isn’t even ONE, which is very unlikely.

So while i’d have to problem with not counting “junk” like the post previews, there still seems to be some other problem.

I agree with LeSpark that there seems to be some other problem. Any clues what might be going wrong?

Same with me. It stopped counting anythin on April 30th. I reinstalled and re-setup, but since then: No data available …

Is the option “Page tracking via JavaScript” enabled?

No, never was … (in my case)

In my case JavaScript is activated, and it always was activated ??
