  • Make sure you have no code surrounding the shortcode. Do this by checking the HTML view.

    If you copy and pasted the shortcode, it’s very possible you have extra html surrounding it that you’re not seeing that makes the text of the shortcode show as text rather than as the function the shortcode calls.
