Editing a Poll – not updating answers

I am trying to add 4 new answers to a list of 188 answers to a Poll contest we are having and the poll will not update with either of the Save buttons provided on the page. It just continues to have an in progress gif show and the message “Please wait a moment while we process your request…” shows after clicking Save. The message and page never end up updating no matter how long I wait. Please help.
