• Started to write about this yesterday, but things have changed enough that I thought I’d write a new post.

I gave in and created a subdirectory to install my blog on, because Go Daddy said that was the only way to do it. My old blog was https://www.retailsmartguys.com/blog. My new one is https://www.blog.retailsmartguys.com.

    I installed WordPress. No errors.
I then found an article where I could go to PhpAdmin in the Control Panel and install the backup I have. I did the steps, imported the file, and it said that it imported without error.

But now when I go to blog.retailsmartguys.com it is totally blank. And now I can’t get into the admin panel.

Yikes! I need some help here!

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).
