WP fails to import/parse uploaded wxr file (from import page)

  • When I attempt to import wordpress wxr from my old free www.ads-software.com account to my new hosted account, it fails to actually import the posts.

    Instead it just uploads the file to teh uploads directory and leaves it there. there is an entry in the posts table and the postsmeta table showing the file uploaded (as a post, type=inherit) but it doesn’t actually read teh file & insert/parse.

    Anyone else see this? Any ideas?
