    Hi,

After the recent update, the Facebook and Google+ buttons are not showing the share count. However if I switch to official buttons the count starts appearing properly. If I use any of the themes “Icon Only” / “Icon + Text”, the counts disappear. Is there any solution for this ?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Facebook recently changed the way that their API counts shares. Due to this change, the current method of counting shares that Jetpack uses is not working.

We are working on a new Jetpack release that will include a new method of counting Shares. Keep an eye out for a Jetpack update in the coming few days!

Never mind, 3.5.1 fixed the problem.

    Thank you.

Problem with Facebook counts fixed, which is excellent. However, Google+ still not counting. Any chance this is going to work in a future update?

    Hello everyone,
Even with the latest update 3.5.2 the “icon only” buttons do not show the Facebook share count! The official buttons work normally though. Any future updates & fix for this?

    Thanks.

Just updated to Jetpack 3.5.2 but the issue of no Facebook and G+ counts remains.
    Actions taken:
    – dectivated/reactivated plugin
    – emptied all caches from cahing plugin
    – FB/G+ counter works on shareaholic buttons (I use Jetpack for Homepage only)

    Google+ still not counting.

Jetpack doesn’t include sharing counts yet, but that’s something we plan on adding in a future update. You can follow our progress here:

@marwanwahbi @sl2015 Could you post links to the posts where you experience issues, so I can take a closer look?

    Thanks!

I also noticed the lack of FB counts following last night’s update. An example URL on my site that should definitely have something is https://missdream.org/fansubs/sera-myu-fansubs/sailor-moon-un-nouveau-voyage/ . I don’t know if anyone has shared this page on G+ (though it appears you are still working on that), but I know for a fact that I posted this on my site’s FB page where it’s received a number of likes and shares. If you need any further information, please let me know and I’ll be happy to help however I can. Thank you!

@marioknight Could you try to flush your site’s cache? It appears that although you’ve updated the plugin, your site still serves the old version of the Javascript library used to count Facebook Shares.

I’ve flushed both the local cache (ZenCache) as well as anything cached on CloudFlare and it still looks like FB shares are not coming up.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

@marioknight I’m afraid I still see the old version of the Javascript file when I try to access it directly:
    https://missdream.org/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/sharedaddy/sharing.js

I’m not sure how your site is configured, but is there any other place where static resources are cached for your site?

There shouldn’t be. I could see where CloudFlare would have that cached so I purged that individual file as well again to be safe, but nothing. On a hunch, I tried a different browser and I see the count functioning as intended. So it looks like in my case, there’s browser caching which makes some sense as I do utilize browser caching for static resources. Will be a pain to see how I can get that “fixed” for people who aren’t me, but that’s my problem and not yours. It’s good to see that the FB count is working again, thanks for your help!

    @jeremy,
    Kindly find my website, https://marwanwahbi.com

I am currently using the official button and all share counts are doing well. The issue happens when I use the “Icons Only” option (rounded) that I no longer see the share counts.

I cleared all the cache as well. Still no share counts using the “Icons only” options.

    Thanks.

@marwanwahbi Could you switch to “Icons Only”, so I can run some tests?

    Thanks!

@jeremy, I apologize for the late reply. I have switched to the “icons only” options and cleared all the cache.

It looks the Facebook share button is working now just fine. But I would appreciate if you do your tests especially on the Google+ & LinkedIn buttons. I guess there is something strange with their share counts.

Thank you so much for your continuous support.
