Showing certain categories of a blog to each user

Hi all,

i need urgent help for my question and will be very happy if someone can help.

i have a blog page of my site and different users (15-20). i want to show only certain categories of posts to each logged in user, not all the blog posts. how can this be possible?

i tried “restrict categories plugin” but it seemed so impractical.

can jquery be useful by a simple code adding display or display:none classes depending on the logged in user?

or a more easy way?
