Preview when posting the lin to the event

  • We have just innstalled this great plugin on our multisite. We use the list function and it appears very nice on our site. We wonder now why the preview picture that shows up when we post the link to one of the events on FB is not the picture added in the event. The preview that shows up is a random picture taken from our live instagram widget.
    Its not very okay that a preview that has nothing to do with the event shows up as a preview for the event. Maybe the link to the eventinfo wasnt meant to be posted somewhere, but we would like to use this “event-post” as a promo of the event, posting the link on FB.

    Is it possible to make this happen?

    I just used teh FB debugger on the URL link, and now the right preview shows up. So I have found a sopultion for my problem, but I would like to not have to use the debugger for each event I make.

    Maybe it help to find a solution knowing that the debugger fixed the URL link.

    Hi,

    can you give us the link to your site? Maybe we can find something wrong, but since we use normal WordPress posts as events it is unlikely that the problem lies within our plugin.

    You can indeed try to clear the cache inside Facebook’s servers with this: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

    After that you should be able to select the correct image.

    This has however nothing to do with our plugin, but with Facebook’s cache.
