Suggest new feature–Countdown Alert Expiration

Hello,
I like your plugin. I would like to suggest a new feature that would allow Editors to set the expiration of the alert to prevent having to go back in and deleting the content. For instance, for a local group with a cancellation due to weather, the alert would expire after the scheduled event was over.
