FAQ: What does "No translatable strings found" mean?

    If you receive the error “No translatable strings found.” it most likely means that the theme or plugin you’re translating has not been prepared for translation in a standard way that Loco understands.

    If you are the theme or plugin author:

    If it’s your code and you know that it is translatable, then please open a bug report on this forum and provide a download link to your source code.

    If you are translating someone else’s theme or plugin:

    If it’s not your code then you should check with the author whether it has been prepared for translation.

    If the author tells you their code has been made translatable, then point them here if they want to ensure it’s compatible with Loco Translate. Until the code is compatible, you won’t be able to use this plugin to edit your translations.
