    Hello,

I am trying to set up testing between two versions of a website’s homepage for a client. I do not, however, have my homepage set as a page within the pages section of WordPress.

I go through the appearance > editor and access my “home.php” file to make changes to my homepage.

Is there a semi-easy way to have a split A/B test with my currently set homepage vs a new homepage I create in my WordPress Pages list?

Or do I have to convert my homepage so that it appears in the pages section of my wWordpress dashboard.

    Much appreciated ??

    Briana

    Hi Briana,

You could do this with the Premium version and a shortcode test using the do_shortcode function to control the content. There’s no way you can do this via the free plugin unfortunately.

I’m curious though, why are you editing the home page in this way? Normally template files bring in the content from the database (the content you see in the visual/text editor).

    Cheers,
    Josh
