Minamaze child theme does not function after update

I created a child theme and copied all the codes from the custom CSS box to the correct section of the prepared style.css of the child theme. Then removed the codes from the custom css box. after a refresh, my changes were gone, as expected. The i activated the child theme and the changes were back, great! So i fiugured the child theme was functioning as it should and upgraded Minamaze from 1.1.5 to 1.1.7. Now, all changes are gone and the child theme is not functioning anymore. Even adding the codes back to the custom css box does not change anything anymore. Can someone help please?
