• Hello,

I am new here and also new to wordpress so I hope I will not sound too stupid or post in the wrong place or do anything wrong. And if I do, please forgive me =)

So I’ve been “working” on my blog creation for weeks now and it seems like every day brings new problems for the “newbie” I am and I always have to spend hours searching forums and websites for simple solutions to simple problems. I never thought making a blog could be so exhausting and time-consuming! Anyway…

So my theme is Adelle by Bluchic v 14.10

First I couldn’t create a child theme “manually” even if I was following all the instructions I saw online it didn’t work, whether I was trying to install it directly on my FTP through Filezilla or trying to add it as a zip in the wordpress admin section so I created my child theme with a plugin called “Orbisius child theme creator” (I had succeeded creating a child theme manually with another theme so I guess the problem didn’t come from me doing something wrong but from the theme itself)

My problem now is that on this child theme when I go in the appearance custom options and I add a header image it doesn’t appear! The background image is working but the header image is simply not showing (not even in the preview)

It works perfectly when I’m using the parent theme so the problem must be in the child theme somewhere but despite all the research I’ve made I couldn’t find any solution…

In case you need my blog address to see what’s going wrong it’s https://www.nothanks.fr

Any help will be very appreciated as I am starting to go nuts about this! ??

I’ve seen many “more recent” posts already got solved… Is it that nobody knows how to help me or did I forget to mention any important details or something??
