• using acf qtranslate 1.7.9 + wp 4.2.2 + qtranslateX 3.3 I’m facing the following:

    # Enabling the option “Enable translation for Standard Field Types” the wysiwg field gets properly saved but, when hitting the language switching buttons the content is not changed. If i say pick ‘language X’ and reload the page, the value displayed for the field is ‘language X’, but switching to another language won’t change the display unless I reload the page after.

    # Tried switching from standard wyiwyg to acf wysiwyg, the switching buttons aparently do work, but then I get ‘strings piling up’ problem.

    Any work around?

  • Having the same problem here. Also updating the post for the second time overrides the field text in the other language as well. So I also lose the text in other languages.

Language switching buttons do not change the acf wysiwyg text and also updating the post for the second time changes the text in both languages.
    Using
    WP 4.2.2
    ACF 4.4.1
    ACF Qtranslate 1.7.9
    Qtranslate-x 3.3
    Qtranslate-Slug 1.1.16

Edit: Appearantly also when the language is set to the language which is empty on that post the other content seems to be empty.

For instance editing language is set to English, i edit an article which is only available in Turkish, so all the custom fields seem to be empty even though they are not. Also when I save the article, it empties the content for good even though it was not before.

I did some more testing and html checking… this might be a problem in the main qtranslateX code, not this plugin acf qtranslate.

The hidden field, which gets all lang values stored, is printed correctly. The language switcher seems to be what is messing things up.

More over I tried disabling ACF Qtranslate plugin and well… QtranslateX still took over and fiddled with ACF wysiwyg fields. Apparently when they dropped the support for acf’s fields… something went wrong with wysiwyg and it still attempts to swap it’s values? (causing a big mess when acf qtranslate comes to play)

I’m getting it to work properly from time to time. i guess it has something to do with plugin upadates. While I was struggling with the plugin, it decided to work again. It might be something about deactivating and re-activating the plugin. But again, not sure about that.

Then after a while it stopped working again. Again, that might be caused by a plugin update, but can’t verify that.

    Advanced Custom Fields: qTranslate 1.7.9
    Advanced Custom Fields 4.4.2
    qTranslate-X 3.3

i also have an issue with WYSIWYG field. i have 2 languages, german and english. i use the standard WYSIWYG field. in acf: qtranslate i have enabled Enable translation for Standard Field Types. my problem is that the content of the WYSIWYG field is not changing when hitting the language switcher buttons in the admin interface when trying to edit content of the WYSIWYG field. therefore, i cannot edit the content of the respective field.

    help is appreciated.
