Need Help Getting Template Tweaked

  • I’m brand new to this and admit my non-techie inability immediately.

    I’ve posted my first blog for my company: https://www.ThePerfectPearBlog.com and have several concerns/things that need changing. Can you help me?

    1. How do I change the title in the header? I don’t see where it’s pulling it in. I’d like to change the title altogether.

    2. Text under major titles (Filed under:) – color & Spacing? Depth/spacing between the two lines seems WAY too tight.

    3. Add more space around images – especially images added on left side – so text is more easily read with “white space” around the image?

    4. Also regarding aligning images – aline the text nicely around it (see first image post at bottom)?

    5. Right column – how to change font color for each category (pages, blogroll, etc.)?

    6. How do I change and/or add meta tags to this page for search engines?

    7. Text spacing looks a little off and hard to read, doesn’t it?

    I need to ask SO MUCH more – these are the cosmetic questions. I would SO greatly appreciate help!

  • Are you in love with the theme you’re using?
    Check https://themes.wordpress.net for more, perhaps you’ll find one that’s closer to what you’re after.

    As for question 1 – log in and check Options -> General.
    2 – 5 would all be found in the theme’s style.css, but again – perhaps you want to start with a theme closer to what you like.

    Question 6 – search here for SEO. Search the web for “wordpress seo” or “wordpress seo plugins”.
