Easy Google Font plugin causing customizer to hang

    Hello Support,

    I’m a newbie to WordPress so please forgive me for posting on a known issue. I’ve looked at the forums and elsewhere for advice on this, but most of it is above my head.

    I’ve updated to version 4.2.2, disabled all my plugins, and isolated Easy Google Fonts as the one that’s causing the customizer to hang. I’m not sure how best to proceed as I’m worried about what will happen if I replace Easy Google Fonts with something else.

    My site is https://rawtext.co.uk/ and I’m using Tyler Moore’s Tesseract theme hosted by 1and1.co.uk

    Hi again,

    OK, so after a process of deep thought and browsing these forums for inspiration, I’ve solved my problem.

    It was caused by me copying and pasting text in directly from a Word document. I deleted the relevant rows and their CSS selectors and will do them again. I’ll either type the text in full, or paste it into a notepad.

    Feeling a bit foolish now, but hey-ho.
