Add To Cart – No Items Added

Which version of jigoshop you had before?

I’m on version 1.17.6. So this version is the only version that requires people to login to add items to cart?

I just need guests to be able to add items to a cart and not login just to add items to a cart. Right now, without being logged in, if someone clicks add to cart, it just shows a blank cart on the checkout screen…it’s not adding the products, etc., until you are logged in.

Card data for guests is stored differently. For logged users it can be stored in database, but for guests it has to be temporary data. So I think, something is deleting this temporary data..

I want to check it fast, as you are losing money. So please send temporary admin and ftp details on [email protected]

Items added to the cart are not showing up.

For the issue on NatNast, in chrome if you add an item to the cart its fine. Safari and Firefox there is a massive delay. As in I add an item to the cart, it says Success, but also cart empty. If I click around the site, and come back the product is eventually in the cart.

Error logs show nothing.

Additionally, once items do indeed show up in the cart, if you attempt to remove them, they will still be there even after a few refreshes.

@matt adams, @natnast — Can you try setting page exceptions in your caching plugin: https://www.jigoshop.com/documentation/using-caching-plugins-jigoshop/. And then empty your cache for the changes to take effect?

@vich — Do you have a caching plugin installed?

Have any of you tried reverting back to the previous version via FTP to see if it changes anything?

Vrich, On your site sessions doeasn’t work. Contact your server administrator to solve problems with “PHP Sesions”, to fix this error which is actually showing on your site, please reupload jigoshop plugin.

Natnast, I checked your website asa guest and I was able to add items to cart without any problems, I tried on chrome, firefox, safari, ie. Does this issue occure for loggen in users or guests?

You shut down my client’s site, by editing code. This was not like this before and needs to be fixed ASAP. I have just sent over the FTP credentials, please login and fix the Jigoshop plugin and make sure their site is back up.

I’m having the same issue when I’m logged in products are not added to the shopping card but do when I’m logged out? I haven’t updated jigoshop from Version 1.13.3 as nearly every time I do, I have issues. If it’s not broken don’t fix it.

@vrich — Can you change the FTP permissions and/or directory path? It opens to an empty path. And the reply via Krzysztof’s last email?

@hitmanireland — The first thing that I would check is caching. If you are using a caching plugin, be sure to clear the cache and then turn caching off before deactivating the plugin. Please let us know if the suggestion helps.
