The duration of a news and situation with one news

Hi,
your plugin works well. Very easy to implement. I like that.I have two questions. Please help.
1. If and how can I change the time shifts news? Now they rotate too fast for me.
2. For now I have only one post in the category that I chose. It appears, but then disappears and can no longer return. How can I change it, until I had more news. I have to stop rotating or to only one and the same news loaded each time. Anyway, just not to be empty.
