• We are about to purchase the pro version of your plugin but we’ve found one issue that may prevent us from doing so — the video player you include does not appear to offer the ability to display closed captions that are available in the YouTube videos we are linking to.

If you view a video in YouTube – for example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFyyVLJOS1g — the CC button in the video interface allows you to toggle captions on or off but when I link to this video from WordPress Video Gallery there is no CC button in the video interface and so no way to enable the captions.

With accessibility (including the need to provide closed captioning for all videos) being a huge deal for large corporations, is this something that you have a solution for or can address quickly?

  • Hi Gareth,

I understand that you need closed captions for YouTube videos. We will be able to customize this feature for free. Please contact our support team at [email protected] with this feature request, so our support team will get this done.
