Newbie help required please

The usual steps once you are installed and ready to post:

Go to your Admin – Write – Write Posts and write your post in the large textbox.

Click on a tick box for a category on the right [or create a new category if required].

Press Publish [underneath the text box with your new post content].

If you could provide your website address it would help.

i can see how to write a post but not on the front page?

any post i make seems to be on every link

I do not fully understand what you are asking, but am I correct in thinking that you want to be able to write a post but not necessarily see it on the front page once it is written?

no i want to choose what page my post gone on, not all of them, or do posts appear on all pages?
im not sure how these work?

The theme your using is the culprit. The links at the top of your page all point back to the homepage. You need to edit your theme or either find another one that is easy to use.

You can NOT. All posts go to the main page in chronological order: newest on the top. That’s how blogs work.

The links at the top of your page are not linked correctly yet. Once you establish your blog, you can link each heading to the correct location. At the moment they all go nowhere and that makes it appear as if you are linking back to your main page each time.

can you point me to where i can do this?, im trying another theme atm, also can i display html banners or will i have to learn xhtml? most ad banners are html so are these not possible?
