block ui before acceptance

  • Hi, this is the best cookie law plugin out there, but it’s missing one huge thing: blocking cookies!

    there are some plugins that actually do that, but you have to manually wrap the cookie code inside some shortcode or javascript condition.
    isn’t it better to just totally block the website ui, till the user accept?

    Wouldn’t it be a great thing if the developer would also block the ui, graying it out, before the user accept? how to do that? thanks

    Hi, there are quite a few other threads about this so I won’t repeat the discussion but no, for good reason this plugin doesn’t block cookies. Blocking access to your whole site is a really, really bad idea. Ultimately it’s your call on what you think is best for your website but I believe this plugin is a very good solution to the EU ePrivacy Directive.

    why is a bad idea? can’t you just add an option so it will be the website admin to chose if block the interaction or not?
