  • Hello @juniorbra

Please deactivate and activate the plugin, this will run a routine to create that table.

    Let me know the results.!

    Hi,

Could not activate the plugin because of a Fatal Error:

Fatal error: [] operator not supported for strings in /home/conversa/public_html/wp-content/plugins/subscribe-to-comments-reloaded/subscribe-to-comments-reloaded.php on line 643

Is there any fix for that?

    Thanks

I guess that this is the line 643:

    $notices[] = ‘<div class=”updated”><h3>’ . __( ‘Important Notice’, ‘subscribe-reloaded’ ) . ‘</h3>’ .

OK, someone else reported that same issue.

I am a little busy with work, but what you can do is just delete that part of the code, the notices one and give it a try.

I’ve deleted the following code but there is still a Fatal Error message:

    $notices[] = ‘<div class=”updated”><h3>’ . __( ‘Important Notice’, ‘subscribe-reloaded’ ) . ‘</h3>’ .

We’re also having the problem. I am afraid to Deactivate and Reactivate the plugin in fear of not being able to reactivate the plugin in WordPress 4.2.2

Any update on when a fix will be released? Many thanks.

It is unacceptable to have no support when something like this happens. I’ve changed to “Comment Notifier” plugin and I am very happy

Sorry to hear that, but as you can see the plugin development and support relies on the donation of the users so if there is no budget to maintain the plugin is very hard to give support to everyone free of charge. I will work on the bugs as soon as I have an opportunity.

@reedyseth it is better to create a basic version of the plugin and offer a paid one with more features and support. I don’t mind to pay for good plugins. Actually I really prefer, as they offer good support and well coded products.

    Hi @reedyseth,

I’ve deleted the line 643 and the plugin was able to activate. I’ve uninstalled “Comment Notifier” plugin and I am currently using your one.

I hope you get time to invest in upgrading the plugin.

    Thanks

    Hello @juniorbra,

I have planned some developing time for this day. I let you know the findings.

Also can you provide your software version for PHP and MySQL?

    Hi @reedyseth,

Google Webmaster Tools is showing around 500 “Not Found” pages (error 404) and almost all of them are like these ones:

    comment-subscriptions/?srp=5526&sra=s
    comment-subscriptions/?srp=3795&sra=s
    comment-subscriptions/?srp=5438&sra=s
    comment-subscriptions/?srp=11729&srk=&sra=s
    (…)

Do you know why your plugin is generating so many error 404 pages?

    Thanks

Do you know why your plugin is generating so many error 404 pages?

Is just that google try to index the pages on every site, since the plugin generates a virtual page for every user that want to manage the subscriptions with a unique key, this unique key goes on the srk key, so if a new key is generated then a new link is created, therefore the index page by google try so search for an none existence page.
