Copies Images Over, but Doesn't Replace Source

  • When broadcasting from the parent to the child

    • featured thumbnail gets copied to new site/location, featured image ID updates, and it references the new “local” image on the child site… This is as expected
    • Images within the body of the post have local versions created and added to “media”, but the image source URL in the post remains the parent’s URL for the attachment vs. the new local URL… this is not what I expected

    I have done the following to troubleshoot getting the child post to reference the child site’s attachment URL vs. the parent sites attachment URL

    1. Confirmed the Duplicate Images premium feature is disabled
    2. Added _thumbnail_id, article_image, gallery_image_*, and set_*_image_* to ID fields for custom field attachments
    3. Local Links premium feature is enabled

    Let me know what I’m missing to get the child site’s image URLs to match the image URL hosted on the child site, and not the parent site.

    Do you mean that the attached image URLs are not being correctly translated to the IDs on the child blog?

    I would like a debug dump to see what Broadcast is doing. Could you supply me with one via e-mail?

    The source code of the child post contains the URL of the attachment on the parent post. e.g. (parentsite.com/wp-content/blabla) vs. (childsite.com/wp-content/blabla)

    I had anticipated that the image urls would be imported/updated in the body of the child post. The featured images are being updated properly.

    I can email a dump in a little bit.
