It is technically possible to use a MS SQL server but so is going to the moon. Yes, it technically could be done but no one expects that to actually happen anytime soon. ??

Realistically, it’s not something that will work and you’ll waste many hours trying. The current version will not work with those old solutions and any plugin that calls the DB in a way that MS SQL does not like will fail.

Those 2 links are at a minimum 5 years old. If you wish to use WordPress please stick to the required MySQL database. You can install MySQL on a Windows server or PC easily enough.
