Hi! I’m trying your plugin to see if it meets my needs, but I’ve encountered a problem almost immediately: when I edit the Email Notification Messages, they are not saved correctly – the Subscribe Notification is blank, and the Unsubscribe Notification message gets overwritten by the Subscribe Notification.

    1. I click the first of the two “Configure this message” links and add some text. I then click “Save Message”, then “Go Back”. Then I even click “Save Settings” on the Main Settings page.

    2. I return to the email via the “Configure this message” link – and it’s now blank.

    3. I click the SECOND “Configure this message” link and find that my text from the “Subscribe” email, which had disappeared, is now here instead.

    Help!

    And, thanks.

I followed exactly the steps you described on a fresh installation. Couldn’t reproduce any problem, each message was saved properly.

I agree it is very strange. Thanks for looking into it. I’ll try disabling other plugins and see if that makes a difference.

i am facing the same problem. obviously the date gets stored into the database but is not being fetched properly again.

cosmocanuck, do you have a plugin like “option network” installed?

Sorry Gereby, I don’t have any useful info to add, and I ended up solving my problem via a different solution. Good luck!

    hi prasunsen,

do you have an idea why the email-notification is not handled properly?

the values of that field are being stored properly, but the getting of these items seems to be buggy.

i urgently need some support here ??

@prasunsen Please don’t ask for that. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the Plugins Team.

OK, thanks, I did not know this.
Gereby, I can’t help you then, sorry.

Finally I was able to reproduce and solve the problem. On some installations WP is redirecting the page due to having “message” argument in the URL. Fixed in 2.2.8.1.
