I added a new post type using CPT UI .. exactly as I have done it before, and now when I create a new post under that post type there is no field for writing the post.

It also doesn’t have the box “Enable full-height editor and distraction-free functionality.” In case that means something.

This is only happening on the NEW post type I created today. The one I had set up before works great.

This site is theshift.com – just in case that helps.

Any ideas as to the problem would be SO appreciated. I am stuck!

What settings did you use/change, if any, for the “Supports” section? If you leave all of those unchecked, the the basic default ones are used. If you check ANY of them, then only the ones that are checked get used.

That’s the first place I’d look, at least. Otherwise, something else may be going on, including possibly a javascript error in the post editor screen, which I believe could prevent the loading of the rest of the editor textarea.

I unclicked all of the ones I had chosen and it loaded that section again!

I put a few back in and it went away. So that is the problem. YEA!

The weird part is, I have other post types with things clicked and that problem does not arise when I add new posts. Strange?

    Thank you!

Weirdly – it worked this time. The only thing different is I created a new post first without those fields checked, and then added them in .. and everything worked. Just in case that helps. Anyway, it works now, I am I grateful. Thanks!
