Theme & Plugin Blocikng

  • Ok, so I run a hosting company and I am designing a new Managed WordPress Hosting platform, primarily to be used with curent and web design customers. I want to disallow (block) certain plugins and themes from being able to be installed. Similar to what other managed hosts do such as WPEngine and Flywheel. The problem is I have no idea how this gets done.

    Secondly, I also have a set of plugins that will be installed on every managed clients site. I can hide these with the hide plugins plugin, but it has not been updated for a year & is untested with 4.2.2 Does anyone know of a more up to date plugin that can do the same thing?

    Finally, I do not want customer to be able to remove these hidden/default plugins. Granted, if they cant see them, they cant remove them. But that assumes the hide plugins thing works & is secure dipite it’s age. So another way to block removal may be a good thing.Any ideas on that?
