Theme installation and updates are failing

  • Let me start by saying, I only know the basics of Workpress. I have used it to build multiple sites in the past, but I have inherited this one, and am struggling a bit. I cannot seem to download a new theme. It gives me the following error code:
    Downloading install package from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/theme/vantage.1.4.2.zip…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    Could not create directory. /home/ezrestoration/public_html/wp-content/themes/vantage/

    Theme install failed.

    Other updates are failing too. Please understand, I probably don’t know all the correct verbiage. Speak to me like I’m a two year old…
    Oh, and the site is hosted through godaddy.com if that’s important.
