  • WordPress is a tool. We have nothing to do with the author of any blog powered by WP.

    Do you contact the paper factory if anybody is plagiarizing your work on paper or the author?

    no, but if a person on Blogger lifts something, you can flag them and they investigated by the admins there. sorry for being stupid enough to ask.

    You need to learn the differences.
    Blogger is a hosted blogging service.
    WP is a blogging script that you download from here (for free) and install it on your own server/host.
    Contact the author, the domain owner, the host – just not this forum.

    To be fair mate, that’s like complaining to WHSmith that someone used a pen that they made to plagiarise a book.

    granted. however, WP has terms of service that read:

    Responsibility of Contributors. If you operate a blog, comment on a blog, post material to the Website, post links on the Website, or otherwise make (or allow any third party to make) material available by means of the Website (any such material, “Content”), You are entirely responsible for the content of, and any harm resulting from, that Content. That is the case regardless of whether the Content in question constitutes text, graphics, an audio file, or computer software. By making Content available, you represent and warrant that:
    the downloading, copying and use of the Content will not infringe the proprietary rights, including but not limited to the copyright, patent, trademark or trade secret rights, of any third party;

    when i buy a pen, the manufacturer doesn’t make me sign terms of service for using that pen.
    someone is violating WP’s terms of service. what action does WP take when that happens?

    jainbee,
    the problem with you is that you need to learn to read more carefully!
    The text you quoted is from wordpress.COM – the hosted WP service. You can complain at their own forum:
    https://wordpress.com/forums

    The is the www.ads-software.com forum for the independently used WP script.

    So, stop spamming the forum here.
