Updating theme

  • Hello.
    Is it possible.
    I have a running woocommerce store at site.com
    now i want to update the theme.
    i made fresh wordpress install at test.site.com
    now i uploaded new theme and edited that at test.site.com

    now i want to either
    1. import existing database of old site.com into new site tes.site.com and get my site running. then change url of test.site.com to site.com
    —or—
    2. add the new theme to the old site at test.com
