Slideshows just stopped working

    The images uploaded and played fine for months. Then one day a few weeks ago- all I get are black screens. The title of the image appears, as does the forward/backward buttons, but the images are gone! None of the threads in the forum help one iota. They are all YEARS old and the topics are closed. The advice in them is all FAR, FAR to technical for me. A few years go, I posted here about the fact that I could no longer use the “copy a post” function. The replies where useless to anyone without a degree in computer science. I read them 4 times and still had NO IDEA what to do. i STILL can’t use this function… Is it time for me to just give up on WordPress and go elsewhere? It would appear so! The site is useless now!     If you weren’t using the software distributed on www.ads-software.com in the first place then any answer people give you here is going to be incomprehensible.

    your images size is so high so just try new slide with 2 small size image. then check this is work or not.

    Try cache plugin.

    @ Andrew: Thanks, but I have no idea what you are talking about! NOT using WordPress software? Thats news to me! As far as I know, I am not using ANYTHING that did not come from the WordPress site. What are you referring to? RE: Image size: This had never been a problem before. I am just trying to make them large enough to be effective. No point in publishing tiny little thumbnail pics that are too small to see! Besides, in slideshow mode, isn’t there only ONE size? How do I adjust that? It is what it is…

    I don’t think you realise the difference between the software on www.ads-software.com and WordPress.com. They are not similar. You need post on WordPress.com’s forums if you want help with your issue.

    Your site is on WordPress.com, This forum is for self hosted wordpress users. And I don’t think you can add plugins on a WP.com site. You need to go to https://forums.wordpress.com as @andrew suggested.
