• Hello,

I’ve updated WordPress and the plugin to the latest versions on my staging site but have a problem with multiple feeds on the home page (the site uses a one-page theme). The first feed (called ‘firstview’) displays fine but each feed or contact section after it just returns the last item in the first feed. The problem can currently be seen here on the staging site:

    STAGING SITE
    WordPress version: 4.2.2
    WP RSS Aggregator version: 4.7.1
    URL: https://cup.timpoole.com/animal/

…but all is currently fine here on the live site:

    LIVE SITE
    WordPress version: 4.0.5
    WP RSS Aggregator version: 4.6.5
    URL: https://www.cambridge.org/animalconsortium/

Does the plugin need to reset post data somewhere? Obviously I’d like to fix this before performing updates on the live site!

    Many thanks,

    Tim

    Hi Tim,

This does seem like strange behaviour as we’re not aware of such issues with any of the latest WordPress updates. Have you updated any other plugins besides WP RSS Aggregator at the same time that issue started to appear? Also, have you made any changes whatsoever to the feed sources, settings or shortcodes currently being used on the staging site?

Lastly, are you using any of our premium add-ons on this site or only the core version of WP RSS Aggregator?

    Thanks,

    Mark

Hi Mark, thanks for the quick response.

    * I only updated the WP core and the WP RSS Aggregator plugin. Just to be sure I’ve now deactivated all of the plugins apart from WP RSS Aggregator, but the problem persists.

    * I’ve not made any changes to the feed sources, settings or shortcodes on the staging site.

    * I was using the Excerpts and Thumbnails add-on (which you can see working in the ‘article of the month’ feed on the live site), but it’s currently deactivated on the staging site.

    Thanks,

    Tim

    Hi Tim,

Since you’ve got premium add-ons it would be best to contact us through a premium support ticket. This will also allow us to further discuss the issue and you can also provide us with login details for your site so that we can go in and take a closer look at what’s going on.

    Thanks,

    Mark
