How to make an amazon widget work in a sidebar

When I generate a carousel here, I get javascript code, not an iframe. That could be the problem.

You won’t be able to easily add either code into a normal WP widget without some additional programming. With widget wrangler, you can create a new widget and save it (publish or save as draft). Then find a checkbox named “Enable Advanced Parsing”, check that box, and paste your code into the new text area that appears.

That should work. Tested with both iframe and js code.

ok.. I’ve been at amazon messing around with things. When I first create the widget, it comes back as an iframe.. if I go to my widget list, I can get the script code. It’s still not showing up on my site but at least we are on the same page regarding the code generated.

Make sure you don’t have any ad-blocking browser extensions enabled on your page. I had to disable mine to get my test widgets to work. Let me know if you get a chance to try it out with widget wrangler.

and you were posting while I was hunting around.. already have wrangler.. will give that a shot in a bit.. right now the ribs are calling out.. don’t burn me.. off to the kitchen.
