Edit Page not updating or saving

    Hey peeps,

    When I try to save a page, or rather click on update, it does not update but open up my website. What gives? Can’t figure this out.

    Any help would be much appreciated!

    I have tried deactivating my plugins and changing my theme from Virtue to Twenty Fifteen but this didn’t fix the problem.

    I am having the same problem. When I edit or try to create a new page and hit the update button (or publish) the panel waits a moment and then kicks me out of the page I am on straight to the front page of the website. When going back to the page none of the updates have been made and the page has returned to normal or is an empty draft page.

    I thought this was limited just to pages but I attempted to see if it was plugins that were causing it and the simple act of deactivating or activating plugins can do the same thing. It is not consistent though and once in a very rare while things will get through. It is even blocking me creating new posts!

    I am running WordPress 4.2.2 on a hostpapa.com hosted site. I have backed it up and reinstalled WordPress and the problem is continuing.
    I have turned all plugins off and the problem continued.

    Weird, because I am also on Hostpapa. Hmmm, suspicious -_- Have also launched a ticket. Will also keep you peeps updated

    I’m having the same trouble people! And believe it or not I too am with Hostpapa.
    So to make them realise that this is an issue for them I too have launched a ticket and will keep you updated as to the outcome.

    Oh I’m also having trouble adding media to my posts? Anyone else?

    katherinepierce – I am having trouble updating practically anything. Plugins, posts, pages, media – it is all in a mess

    This almost then confirms that the issue lies with Hostpapa. Can’t load text, images or anything for that matter, so katherinepierce you’re not alone here.

    I’ve noticed it is saving my posts as drafts so I’m just going to load up my posts and then when its fixed I’ll publish them. My readers will just get an influx!

    aarrgghh! me too. I tried to solve the problem on my own and got so frustrated I deleted everything and reinstalled WP. BUT… it did not work! same issues. I click ‘save changes’ and it directs me to my homepage.

    hostpapa is also my webhost and have emailed them.

    anyone has any updates?

    Same issue here. I’ve deactivated all my plugins, changed to Twenty-Fifteen theme, re-installed WordPress manually, all to no avail.

    I lodged a ticket with Hostpapa and they say that it’s not a server issue and to check my plugins again.

    I will send them this thread to prove that it is HostPapa related.

    Its clear that it is their issue if it is only affecting those who use Hostpapa. They just can’t be bothered working it out. Hate companies who are like that.
