• Hi everyone, I am wordpress novice and have been using the plug-in ComingSoon to set-up a single page site for someone. I would like to collect emails through feedburner, but cannot validate my feed URL. I have done a lot of research and none of the fixes seem to work for me. I thought to write and see if anyone would be able to help me out. This is my URL: https://www.kanehco.com and have been trying https://www.kanehco.com/feed/ with no luck. I get this error message:

“The URL does not appear to reference a valid XML file. We encountered the following problem: Error on line 12: The reference to entity “v1″ must end with the ‘;’ delimiter.”

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

  • I am not familiar with the ComingSoon plugin but those type of plugins normally work by restricting access to anything but the landing page unless you are logged in. No matter what I type after your domain name, I get sent to the same landing page. Feedburner is also getting redirected to your landing page when they try to find your feed.

A Coming Soon page wouldn’t help all that much if visitors could still get to your site that is supposedly under construction.

Ah that makes sense, thanks for your response. I removed the plug-in for now, any chance you can see what the RSS feed URL is? Thanks again for any help.

You had it correct in your first post – Check that link now and you should see it. For more information on feeds, take a look through https://codex.www.ads-software.com/WordPress_Feeds
