Validate Plugin For WordPress 4.2, Added Functionality
-
Hi, Scott.
I hope all is well.
File Monitor Plus is a very useful plugin, and I’d hate to see to fall by the wayside.
It appears to work just fine on the most recent versions of WordPress. It would be great if you’d update and validate the plugin so it doesn’t display the warning message on the www.ads-software.com plugin page.
This plugin hasn’t been updated in over 2 years. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.
ADDED FUNCTIONALITY
If you’re looking to add functionality to the plugin, let me suggest comparing the file hashes for core files and plugins against the WP provided hashes. Apparently, there’s an API for that (the Sucuri WP plugin is using it https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/sucuri-scanner). It would allow you to segregate correctly updated core and plugin files from the unexpected file updates we really want to monitor.FYI, I’m using a combination of the two plugins to monitor my sites’ files, and that approach seems to work fine. Still, it would be nice to have this monitoring and reporting in one plugin.
Thanks again!
Mike
