Show past events only on calendar

Hi there!
Great plugin, thank you!

Is there is a way to display past events on the calendar but not on the event thumbnails? I like how my events page (https://kitchokly.com/sandbanks/?page_id=29) has the thumbnails for upcoming events at the top and the calendar on the bottom, but I would like for the calendar to show that past events have occurred. Is there a way to do this?
