Functionality Question – Communicating with visitors
-
I have a client who wants to offer the ability to “sell” a coaching question to his readers. It would work like the same deal on this site:
https://beirresistible.com/members/cs/pac/ (but this isn’t his site)
I have tried several options – MemberMouse (AWFUL) and now Magic Member, but I am stumped on finding a way to do this.
The ultimate goal is to be able to respond to a visitor’s question without giving them his email address (and we don’t want to have a no-reply email address). It was suggested to me to try a pay-per-post option, but I just cannot seem to think it through well enough to go from A to Z.
Here is how it *should* work…
- Person visits the site – clicks a button to “Ask a Question” – they’re taken to a page that essentially collects their name and email and processes a PayPal payment.
- Person pays and is redirected to page where they complete a form that asks a few questions (it’s dating coaching so relationship questions to help the coach know what he’s dealing with) and then their “question” that they’re paying for
- Coach receives notification that a question has been asked and he provides a response – HOPEFULLY without using email directly
- Person is somehow notified of a response and is able to ask one follow-up question for clarification
- Case closed after they ask their follow-up question
The site is Who Holds the Cards Now?. The theme is Karma. We currently own a 3-site license to Magic Member, and I spent about 6 weeks (not consistently) trying to even make MemberMouse function on our site – it just would not. Their support was great but we couldn’t make it work.
I appreciate in advance any help anyone can provide. Please try not to make it too high-tech. I know enough CSS to keep myself out of trouble, same with JavaScript. (this would be why I work in WordPress!)
