Populating the calendar with external events

  • This might be a stupid question and beyond the support for this plugin but is it possible to populate the calendar with external objects or events, for example if you include a php file that fetches dates, categories and events from an external database?

    I’m already fetching data like that for my WordPress site but do you have any guidelines about how to begin combining that with this calendar plugin?

    That would be complicated. Yes, you can do it; you can make use of the internal functions My Calendar uses for saving events to translate the data you’re fetching into a new event. It’s a two-stage process, using two functions: mc_check_data' andmy_calendar_save`.
