• Ive found this topic that seems similar: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/120553?replies=3 but it is not what I’m looking for!

I have wp installed at /blog and have been using wp for about a year now and I am using my own template

What I want to do is create a page to use as a guestbook, but I want it accessible outside of the blog directory

I have found out a way to use a page as a guestbook, but I want to be able to access it from /guestbook and not /blog/guestbook

    Is this even possible?

  • Not really. Not if you want to use the same WP install anyway.

I’m lacking clarification. When you say “page” are you talking about a WordPress generated page, or a “page” that you create independently of WP?

One way makes what you are asking simple .. and one way makes it potentially doable if you can invoke some mod_rewrite magic.

Thanks for getting back so quick, I was thinking that was going to be the answer! Oh well!

whooami, I was thinking of a wp page, but if it makes it simple a separate page would be ok, as long as visitors can leave feed back/comments with it.

I did read about some one who tried creating a separate web page and trying to get comments working on it, so what about creating a dummy page just to get an id for comments to be posted to.
    Would that work?
