• Hi everyone,

I am trying to start my new food blog, seefooddiet.ca and I have paid for my domain through Hover. When I successfully install WordPress, I am sent my login information and I try to click the link to my WP admin page (seefooddiet.ca/wp-admin) but it shows me a Hover page which says “This user has not enabled any redirections.”

If anybody could please tell me what it is I need to change in order to get this working, that’d be greatly appreciated. I read that it might be a DNS or name server related change online.

    Thanks ahead of time!

    Priscilla

    – when did you register your domain?
    – Have you taken care of your name server point to your hosting provider? Your host should be able to assist you in that.
    – also, bear in mind that it can take anything from 24 – 72 hours for DNS/nameserver records to fully propagate if you’ve just purchased or transferred a domain name. Second, different networks will update at different times during this period, so you may need to get in touch with them for more details.

    Hi Tara,

I registered my domain close to a year ago (in mid-August.) I was very busy and hadn’t had time to start it up yet.

I have made both name servers point to Hover, as that was the default, and even now the DNS and IP point to Hover as well. Does anything listed above need to change to say WordPress? And if so, which one and how? Thanks for your help so far.

www.ads-software.com is not your hosting provider. So, you need to contact and discuss the issue with your hosting provider. Ask them what’s going on.

You just need to either change the Nameservers or DNS Records to point your domain to your hosting provider.

So contact your hosting provider, ask them for their nameservers then login to your Hover account and replace Hover’s default nameservers.

If you’ve set it up through WordPress.com with a custom domain then all the details you need will be on their support site > https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
