Why is the slider wider than the branding DIV / the rest?

    I recently started to use “make” and I already love it. What I do not understand is, why is the slider area so wide compared to the rest of the site?

    Ok, the side wrapper has a maximum width of 1144px and the header does too. But the side branding is already put into a container with a max width of 1024ps only.
    Why is that so? Because the slider again has the complete width of 1144 and than the builder section is again reduced / padded to 1024px.

    That makes the slider look pretty bulky and destroys the nice look of the page.
    So is there any way to reduce the slider’s width? As I would assume it would not be a good idea to expand the other areas, as I could imagine this has been done due to responsible design. Hasn’t it?
