• I want to start making website through wordpress. But I am not getting the installation properly to begin with.

    Installation: Famous 5-minute install

Unzip the package in an empty directory and upload everything. HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO UPLOAD
Open wp-admin/install.php in your browser. NOT UNDERSTANDING HOW TO GET IT. It will take you through the process to set up a wp-config.php file with your database connection details.
If for some reason this doesn’t work, don’t worry. It doesn’t work on all web hosts. Open up wp-config-sample.php with a text editor like WordPad or similar and fill in your database connection details.
Save the file as wp-config.php and upload it.
    Open wp-admin/install.php in your browser.

I tried to find out through the youtube videos but everywhere they are going any of the webhosting company.I don’t have much money to go for it right now. Isn’t there anyway to install the wordpress after downloading it from here—> https://www.ads-software.com/download/?

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks

  • To install WordPress you need a hosting account.

You can host it locally if you use a system like WAMP, but there’s more techinical headaches if something goes wrong, and it’s also a local site only – no external access*.

There’s a lot of decent hosting companies around that are only a few $ A month, so I’d suggest looking for a cheaper plan then what you’re seeing now.

    * There is if you have more knowledge of set ups and the ability to host form your home internet connection, but that’s quite another issue by itself.

well so if i buy only hosting account suppose in godaddy suppose then from the cpanel will i be able to start?

Yes, you should be able to set up WordPress on a GoDaddy hosting account. In fact, once you set up an account and access it, GoDaddy can install WordPress for you without having to upload all those files:

I don’t know if I’d recommend Godaddy as a host, but the same will apply for any of the 1,000’s of hosting companies out there that offer cPanel (or almost any other hosting control panel) and one-click installers.

Ok will I be getting all the plugins there?

No. The plugins would normally come from either this site, or other reputable places that sell plugins. I don’t believe that GoDaddy sells plugins from what I’ve seen.

ok but what if i download wordpress from www.ads-software.com and start using it? Is it possible without having a hosting account?

    As above (this hasn’t changed…)

To install WordPress you need a hosting account.

But what’s the difference it makes when installing wordpress from here than installing from any of the hosting website?

It’s the same software, so none. The only difference is WordPress.COM, which is a hosted platform, and completely separete and differnt to the software that’s on offer through www.ads-software.com
