Problem With Sub Items In Menu

I have the menu structure for my website all built up with main menu items and sub items. The menu was built in appearance->menus. When you go to the website: https://www.mncpa.net/ and hover over any of the menu items that create a drop down menu, any of the drop down items you click on add that sub item into the main menu when the page loads.
For example, if you highlight over ‘Member Resources’, and the drop down menu shows up, click on ‘Conference Presentations’. Once that page loads, you can see that it added in a new menu item, titled ‘Conference Presentations’ in between ‘Member Resources’ and ‘Calendar’. This happens with any of the drop down menus.
The theme used is Sunspot.
Any idea why this is happening? Any help is appreciated.
