Browser cache with this BB

  • Has something changed the caching behaviour of this board. It used to be fine but for the last week I have to ctrl-F5 every single page that I have ever visited before. It is a major PITA. Otherwise it doesn’t show any changes. Yes I am using the worlds worst browser but it used to work ok and many others use it too.

    If its opera there is a pefectly configurable preference setting to fix it.

    LOL I didn’t think there could be any ambiguity on this board. IE. To give an example, looking for this post this morning, twelve hours after my last visit I can’t find the post at all. That is because I get the Miscellaneous page from maybe 3 days ago when I last viewed this category page. Then, when I do see my post, no answer until Ctrl F 5.
    Now I know it is an endemic problem with IE but I don’t get it on any of the many other BB’s I frequent and I never got it here until recently. I can set IE to pull a new page every time it visits anywhere but that is not a very good option in terms of minimising bandwidth generally.
    OK I just did a little test and checked out what was happening with Firefox. Exactly the same for me so it’s not the browser. I’m running Win 2K and like I said no problems like this elsewhere.

    surely if it was my isp or proxy CtrlF5 would not have any effect?
